About JC

JC believes meaningful therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and genuine understanding. She recognizes that every individual brings a unique story, personality, and set of experiences into the counseling process and believes effective therapy should be thoughtfully tailored to each client’s unique needs, personality, and goals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Her clinical work integrates evidence-based practices, primarily utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), person-centered therapy, and psychodynamic insight when clinically appropriate. She has completed EMDRIA-approved training in EMDR and works with clients to safely process traumatic experiences, reduce emotional distress, and foster lasting healing.

JC works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and stressor-related disorders, relationship challenges, addiction, grief, life transitions, behavioral concerns, and personality disorders. She is passionate about helping clients gain insight into the patterns that influence their lives while developing practical tools that promote resilience, emotional well-being, and meaningful, lasting change.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
— Carl Rogers
